An unremarkable young Stone Age lad called Rocky knows there has to be more to his humdrum neolithic life than helping his dad lift stones. And along with his best friend Sheep, they’re determined to form the world’s first rock band.
Armed with homemade stone instruments and an almost cosmic sixth sense for what the music of the future will one day sound like, Sheep & Stone are about to turn it up to 11 and show the stone age what it really means to rock out!
Collaboration
Tony Gama-Lobo is a veteran writer-producer-showrunner of nearly 20 years, best known as longtime co-executive producer of King of the Hill, Nickelodeon’s revival of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, and his executive producer/showrunner role on the Emmy-nominated series Santiago of the Seas.
Aidan & Colm first began collaborating with Tony back in 2022; their conversations were all remote and involved plenty of cultural exchange, including stories of Aidan & Colm’s teenage years growing up in the wilds of West Cork, playing music together, and generally rebelling against anything that would listen…
Tony finally got to visit Ireland in January 2024, and as well as bumping into Conan O’Brien in Dublin (as you do), he was taken deep into the wilds of West Cork and beyond, all in the name of research. The rugged immediacy of the landscape was a stark contrast to Southern California - it almost seemed like it was from another time. A time of wilderness, a time of rocks.
